Autumn has arrived and with it comes a wave of events and festivals, days out and places to visit on the Yorkshire Coast, including plenty of Halloween fun to enjoy over half-term.

We're SO excited to announce a brand new festive event for Scarborough, as part of the new Scarborough Fair cultural festival.

 

Scarborough Lights will bring over 60 spectacular light installations from international and local artists to 14 venues across the town between 15 November - 23 December. 

Highlights include:

✨ a dazzling drone display at Scarborough Castle on 18 November

✨ an enchanting Winter Lights Trail in Peasholm Park throughout the festival

✨a brand new light installation at St Mary's Church between 16 - 30 November

Autumn Daze Festival at Peasholm Park

'Autumn Daze' Festival takes place in the oriental themed Peasholm Park on 1 November featuring a range of free activities, from bush craft demonstrations and 

storytelling to marshmallow toasting and scavenger hunts! 

 

Whitby Goth festivals

Whitby Goth Weekend returns on 27 - 29 October, incoporating the Bizarre Bazaar Alternative Market with over 100 indoor stalls at Whitby Leisure Centre and Whitby Brunswick Centre.

 

Tomorrow's Ghost Festival, the UK’s ultimate gothic destination festival, will be taking over Whitby Pavillion on the same weekend for a darkly exhilarating celebration of alternative music and culture.

 

Illuminated Whitby Abbey

It's officially spooky season at Whitby Abbey! Illuminated Abbey runs from 21 - 31 October telling tales of Dracula with the Abbey bathed in dramatic lights, plus a special Goth Night on Friday 27 October.

Meanwhile, bewitchingly brilliant ghost hunters will be on hand during the day from 21 October to 5 November to entertain you.

 

Dracula returns to Whitby!

Status Quo return to Scarborough OAT

Filey Food Festival

Rock legends Status Quo are heading back to the Yorkshire coast next summer to headline the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, joined by special guests The Alarm. The show on Sunday 2 June will be the fourth time that Francis Rossi and the band have headlined the UK’s largest purpose-built open air concert arena.
